Rambus Seeks To Block NVIDIA Products

Rambus is seeking an order from the U.S. International Trade Commission blocking the sale of some NVIDIA video cards the company claims infringes on nine patents. The commission is expected to decide within 30 days whether to launch an investigation. Rambus General Counsel Tom Lavelle has said the companies discussed the dispute for six years without reaching a resolution. "We believe this action is necessary given Nvidia’s continued willful infringement of our patents," he said in press release Thursday. Comments
